If he lied about knowing Abramoff he should be impeached on that alone - never mind all the rest. Clinton was impeached because of a lie.

President Bush is giving to charity $6,000 in political contributions from Abramoff, Abramoff's wife and a client but will keep more than $100,000 that Abramoff collected for Bush's 2004 re-election campaign, officials said Wednesday.

White House spokesman Scott McClellan said the $6,000 from the Abramoffs and the Saginaw Chippewa tribe of Michigan would go to the American Heart Association.

About the more than $100,000, Republican National Committee spokeswoman Tracey Schmitt said, "There is nothing to indicate that those contributions reflect anything but support for the re-election campaign."

McClellan said Bush does not know Abramoff personally, although the two might have met at holiday receptions.
