Keep hope alive: Grassroots collaborative voting next week?!?
(Preface: Clark supporter; and I'm NOT speaking as a member of the campaign or the Draft Clark movement.)

> Given that Dean finished well ahead of Clark in NH
> and given that Clark didn't even compete in IA, why
> shouldn't this (Dean supporters shifting to Clark)
> be the other way around?

Yeah, I agree. Gov. Dean's campaign is far from over. But we all have a dilemna ahead of us next week, and I'm wondering about options.

If Sen. Kerry wins a number of the states, the media *will* declare him the winner.

But what if...

For all the Feb 3 states in which Gov. Dean has opted to not actively campaign, what if Dean supporters gave their vote to Clark? In exchange for Clark supporters voting for Dean in Michigan? (I believe that's where he's putting his focus, right?)

If we want change, we've gotta fight the Establishment together.

Just a thought. It would be our way of pulling the grassroots vote together, in larger blocks, in order to delay (daresay, stop?) the media's immediately crowning Sen. Kerry.

1. Won't Dean supporters want to vote for Dean?
If I were planning to vote for Dean, I wouldn't vote for Clark. I'd vote for Dean.
Besides, Kerry has a huge lead in Michigan. Dean supporters would be cheated out of their vote if they followed your advice.

2. Kerry supporter...
Thank you for your unbiased opinion. Now go away and let us talk amongst ourselves.

Obviously, were anything like this to be tried, both the number and selection of states would be negotiable.

3. A lot of people don't want Kerry
because he is an insider, and they would rather have real change.

Kerry isn't beloved by all, he doesn't even have any real plans.. just rhetoric.

7. And what about pulling in other campaigns, as well?
And what about pulling in other campaigns, as well, so that the overall campaign can be extended? It would be a great way to extend the campaign for all, and hint at our displeasure with the media.

Candidates:

Clark
Dean
Edwards

States:

Arizona
Delaware
Maine
Michigan
Missouri
New Mexico
North Dakota
Oklahoma
South Carolina
