Before I begin, I have been advised by my wife, RUBYDUBY in Ga., a moderator, to tell you that I'm not a troll, I just have a very low post count. I'm not on here as much as I'd like.
If you're as active, as I'm sure you all are, as me and my wife are on the internet, local political parties, and progressive advocacy and all that, you probably get a lot of pleas through snail and e mail for surprise surprise, moulah. MoveOn as well as the Dean and Clark campaigns proved that a lot of money can be raised through the internet. Money can be a sensitive subject, and progressives tend to pinch their pennies, especially on progressive activism. That's another long story. My question is this. If you had a hundred dollars, how would you invest it. Of the top of my head, I'd invest it something like this:
DNC :dem: $20 GDP (Georgia Dem. Party):dunce: $15 Local or County GDP :kick: $5 Longview or Rockridge :headbang: or similar nat. PAC $15 State or local think tank :boring: $15 MoveOn :yourock: or similar Nat. PAC $5 State or local PAC :boring: $15 candidates :banghead: $10

7. I like the way you think. |

Good for the economy too. Some guy will make 8 bucks an hour fueling his plane, maybe have a little left over for some booze :toast: :puke:

to the sites I visit most...I owe them more for the quality of my activism than any politician.

12. how about cheap women and cheap booze? |

The money will go a lot farther, and after the first couple of drinks you won't care much anyhow.

6. Uh....you totally give it all to your local party |
|
But I may be biased as I'm the vice-chair of my local party and have big plans that require some serious cash.

for me, the political problem precludes everything. If there wasn't such pressure to reduce investment (ok tax relief, a horseshit term), Katrina wouldn't have been so disasterous in the first place.
