Proof that the end is coming? Grover Norquist is saying nice things about Al Gore !
The tart-tongued conservative invited Gore to address yesterday's meeting of the Wednesday Group, a weekly gathering for less-government-is-more folks. Gore showed up at Norquist's L Street office of Americans for Tax Reform to give a PowerPoint chat on global warming. The former veep spoke for 30 minutes, then fielded questions.
"He gave a fine presentation," said Norquist. "He believes that if people on the right had all the facts we'd agree with him. I want everybody -- all of our activists -- to have the best arguments for the global warming thesis. And if people disagree with Gore, they better be prepared to match him in a debate."
Gore was off speechifying when we called to get his take on this thaw.<snip>
