Amanpour Unaware Of Eavesdropping
Twenty-four hours after contacting CNN for comment on this post, a spokesperson released the following statement:

"Neither CNN nor Christiane Amanpour is aware of alleged eavesdropping by the government on Ms. Amanpour and we are unable to confirm this story. We are looking into it."

5. I love Amanpour

Her reporting is incredible, really some of the only reporting that is worth watching. She is smart, well spoken, not ameriocentric and well informed. I think she also knows what she is up against, and is not likely to pick fights she can't win. She'll keep her powder dry until she can do something that's effective.

6. What nationality is she?

I'm sure I'm really being ignorant here and everybody knows it, but I've only ever heard her on the radio and her accent sounds very British but with a twist. I don't watch tv so I can't say what she looks like in order to place her.

I would bet her upbringing has contributed to her lack of Americentric reporting, which is a good reason why she is so good.
