NSA wiretaps, a very different viewpoint by a former republican..
Edited on Thu Jan-05-06 06:53 PM by Rebellious Republica
DUer trillian gave me this Idea http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=2349637&mesg_id=2349637. How would these wiretaps benefit shrub by listening in on conversations by journalists and who knows who talking to members of his party, under the guise of National security.

Think about this for a minute, he knows who has been naughty and nice. He would obviously have lots of dirt on his own party members. Could he use this information to keep his own flock in lock step? How much political capital (or muscle) would this give him with his own corrupt party members? Most here have not thought about this aspect, and I am sure that his own party members have good reason to fear what he may know about them.

So if there are any trolls around, take that to the bank, there is no honor among thieves, this is YOUR President.

What better way to keep a tight grip on dissenters among his own ranks.

1. Makes you wonder ...
... how many Repubs got 'outed' with scandals, just because they were failing to toe-the-line ...

2. It goes without saying, the Bush Crime Syndicate HAD to strong arm
the Repubs. What better way than by getting dirt on them?

5. Hi, RR, I have thought about that aspect.
In fact I think probably a couple of our Florida folks are wee bit nervous. When they never stray from Bush's agenda, then one should be suspicious.

Good to see you here.
