lobbyist Miller "made his case" and I didn't buy it (Wash. Journal) |
|
lobbyist Paul Miller tried to tell us viewers that lobbyist were vital to the running of the govt. lobbyist were helpful and wonderful persons.
this is one of the ridiculous things he said:
lobbyists take Sen./Reps. to lunch because their offices are so busy it is hard to converse, so they go have lunch, etc. where they can talk better.
are you laughing?
like a Sen. can't have the lobbyist into his office, shut the door, and request not to be disturbed????
near the end of Miller's time he made the statement that he had made his case for lobbyists. maybe lobbyist Miller should hire a lobbyist to lobby for his "case" as I certainly didn't buy it.

1. Congressmen should buy their own meal, pay for their own hotels, |
|
pay their own airfare.
Of if a trip is truly important for the public, then the taxpayers should pay.
No person should be able to buy a Congressman a meal.
No person should be able to pay for a Congressman's hotel room.
NO exceptions for supposedly educational/charitable trips.
