Need to DU this letter from VoteTrustUSA!
Everybody,
please take part in this action alert. (12,000 emails so far) The fire is hot, time to strike some Iron. Diebold has admitted to using "interpreted code" which is expressly forbidden in Vol. 1 Section 4.2.2 of the E.A.C.'s Voluntary Voting Systems Guidelines the (V.V.S.G). You can download Volume 1 at http://www.eac.gov. The article below goes into great detail on the hack that was done in Florida that convinced the head of elections to de-certify Diebold in 2 counties, and the article also explains what interpreted code is. The action is to sign on to their open letter asking the EAC to do their job and re-examine Diebold's source code on their MEMORY cards which were never examined.

This site VoteTrustUSA has so many breaking stories right now it is hard to keep up!

The EAC and The ITA are also broken systems much like FEMA EPA FDA and anywhere else bush can set up his pals with a jobby. BUT we have to at least hold them to their standards and take it up the line fixing and examining until we blow this whole corporate takeover of our vote process wide open...
Please.

What’s All the Fuss About Diebold in Florida and California?

By John Washburn, SilverTrain Inc. for VoteTrustUSA
December 29, 2005
What in the World is Interpreted Code and What’s Wrong With It Anyway?

See VoteTrustUSA's open letter to the EAC
(http://www.votetrustusa.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=646&Itemid=914)
and the email action alert (http://www.votetrustusa.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=646&Itemid=9143).

Earlier this month Leon County, Florida Supervisor of Elections Ion Sancho, invited computer experts to demonstrate the existence of a security flaw in Diebold optical scanners described in a report published on July 4, 2005.  The test was repeated in December in order to refute specific denials by Diebold. In statements to two different election officials Diebold claimed it was not possible to alter the outcome of an election in such a way that the perpetrator would not need passwords and the tampering would not be noticed during normal canvassing procedures.  Sancho set up the test environment on December 13, 2005 to prove these claims false.  The outside experts had no access to the optical scanner and the complete canvassing procedure was followed for 8 test ballots.  The result was that while the 8 paper ballots had a vote tally of 2 Yes and 6 No, all of the official reports - from the optical scanner on through to the publication of county results - showed an outcome of 7 Yes and 1 No.

Because of this design defect, which exists on all Diebold touchscreen machines (DRE) and optical scanners, the Secretary of State of California has demanded that the Diebold software be re-examined by the Independent Testing Authority (ITA),

Please keep this kicked or someone with 1000 posts highjack this thread and post it where ever it will get attention. I purposefully didn't post it in the election forum because we ALL should be involved in this.

Interpreted Code is allowed under the ITA testing procedures? But not in the 2002 VVSG.

Yeah the system is truly broken. That means that when the 2002 VVSG becomes mandatory in late 2007-- voting equipent might have to be replaced. Of course the HAVA money that bought said equipment will be long gone....................

Its a case of BUY NOW---- so we can outlaw that equipment you just bought.

3. How can I keep this thread from disappearing?
They are up to about 14000, emails and it is such a shame that DU is taking so little interest. I guess I will try posting it in the election forum. The vote count is everything and it is FINALLY breaking into MSM that EVERYTHING we suspected is possible with computerized vote counting.

I think people here are interested, but I think so many of us are just REALLLLY frustrated that the story will not gain traction in the media.

It's mind-boggling when you consider all the evidence there is!!

The entire story should be shown on an hour long special on Dateline NBC, 60 Minutes, etc... and should be major news on every network and station in the U.S.

But nope.. ..Olbermann touched on it to some degree, but even he hasn't mentioned it in months..

I know there are people working tiresly on trying to expose this scandal, but why won't the media touch this?

It seems like every week another city, county or state experiences some sort of problem with the systems.. or with shady deals in the contracts being made.. or with failing test results..

But the story just goes NOWHERE.

Even right here in Anchorage, it was front page news on December 19th that Bush received just over 100,000 more votes than were actually cast for him!!! They JUST discovered it!! Aside from the Anchorage Daily News and other local media, like every other suspicious story, it never made it to the MSM.. http://www.alaskademocrats.org/e-news/article.asp?ArticleID=349

I'm extremely interested in doing all I can do.. but I'm frustrated that for some very strange reason -- the MSM does not want to cover this story.

Is it because the Democratic Party isn't making noise about the problem?? And if so -- WHY AREN'T THEY

I just don't get it...

5. We know the election(s) were stolen. So all the laws illegally passed
by this Illegitmate Prez AND his FALSE "majority" Congress, etc... are ILLEGAL, and when things begin being set-right...they LEGALLY could ALL be reversed. This is NOT far-fetched. These are NOT legally elected politicians dominating our House and Senate and WH. Why do we continue to pretend they are.
