Rasmussen Poll: Florida Governor's Race a Toss-Up
Edited on Fri Jan-06-06 07:13 PM by Thom Little
As the Jeb Bush era winds down in Florida, the race to replace him as Governor is a toss-up. Match-ups involving two Republicans and two Democrats contending for the job show that nobody has a clear advantage at the beginning of 2006.

Attorney General Charlie Crist (R) leads Congressman Jim Davis (D) by just a single percentage point, 36% to 35%. Six weeks earlier, Davis had a three-point advantage in this match-up.

Davis is tied at 37% with the other potential GOP candidate, Tom Gallagher.

With Rod Smith as the Democrats' nominee, Crist leads 40% to 35% and Gallagher holds a 36% to 35% advantage.

Related data shows Senator Bill Nelson (D) with a 23-percentage point lead over Congresswoman Katherine Harris in his bid for re-election.

9. I voted for Nader in 2000
Edited on Fri Jan-06-06 08:13 PM by Clarkansas
It felt pretty good sticking it to the two party system for a little while, but facilitating 8 years of Bush certainly made me change my tune. I once bought into the notion that there was "no difference" between DLC democrats like Gore and republicans like Bush, and I think even Nader probably realizes how inaccurate that has been. You think there is no difference between Smith and Davis, and Gallagher and Crist?

5. Oh boy... a r-ASS-mussen poll ....
Sorry.. I realize that even Scott Rasmussen gets a poll correct once in a blue moon..

It's his PERSONAL BACKGROUND that I just can't stand. Anyone who authors "GOP Nation: How the GOP will dominate for the next 100 years".. and who writes for World Net Daily (not to mention his other strictly GOP associations)...

..makes me sick.

Scott Rasmussen ------> SUCKS!
