Blessed asses in Washington today
There will be blessed asses in Washington today. From the Wall Street Journal:

Ministers Say They Blessed Seats Ahead of Alito Hearing

WASHINGTON -- Insisting that God "certainly needs to be involved" in the Supreme Court confirmation process, three Christian ministers today blessed the doors of the hearing room where Senate Judiciary Committee members will begin considering the nomination of Judge Samuel Alito on Monday.

Capitol Hill police barred them from entering the room to continue what they called a consecration service. But in a bit of one-upsmanship, the three announced that they had let themselves in a day earlier, touching holy oil to the seats where Judge Alito, the senators, witnesses, Senate staffers and the press will sit, and praying for each of the 13 committee members by name.

"We did adequately apply oil to all the seats," said the Rev. Rob Schenck, who identified himself as an evangelical Christian and as president of the National Clergy Council in Washington…

1. If Alito didn't make it out of the committee...
...I wonder if these ministers would be inclined to re-evaluate their beliefs.

2. I was thinking the same thing. Would they admit that God didn't want
Alito if he is not confirmed?

3. Boy,that's some sad,sad shit.
They go to extremes to keep power don't they? Anymore,it's their country....we're just existing in it.It's like we're supposed to keep our mouths shut and let them rule the way THEY want. Our opinions and beliefs don't count. Sickening bastards.

5. Reminds me of the old saying...
They say that 2000 years ago, Jesus rode an ass into Jerusalem. And ever since, asses have been riding on Jesus.

(Standard Disclaimer: atheist. I don't have a god in this fight.)

7. I hope they recited Jesus's words (when He was anointed).
In Luke 4:18-19, Jesus quoted from Isaiah 61:1-2 and said, "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor,"

8. Great security they have there
Can anyone plant anthrax in Senate committee rooms, or do you have to pose as a Christian minister to get that chance?

This is just low-grade Black Magic -- for it is a violation of the free will of the people who will be in that hearing room. Since it was done against their will, inimial forces will inevitably be invoked.

Message to Dominionists: Cut the crap. Stop practicing Black Magic.

Your Jehovah -- and the many other Elohim -- would disapprove, and slap you down.
