2. I would like to see the Democrats blast not only the Republicans on |
|
this story but go after the media as well. I suppose that's biting the hand that feeds publicity but at this point, what have they got to lose? I know Democrats who have bought the spin that some of our own have accepted Abramoff money. I don't mean to be insensitive, but this type of reporting is as bad, if not worse, than the headlines proclaiming some of the miners survived. In both cases we have a decided lack of fact checking. In this case it's not a matter of miscommunication in the midst of time pressure. This is bad. Really really bad for democracy.

5. It's time they did this - they're the ones in position to have their views |
|
be heard! We the people certainly can't get our letters read on the air.
and by the way, increasingly I'm starting to see a few like Ted Kennedy manage to get their points through despite these whores..
and one other item - in the last couple of weeks it's been revealed that Chris Matthews had his own connection with the Abramoff's enterprises - which brings up the point that these whores are as much a part of the inside Washington scene, mixing it up with elected officials - and wheeling and dealing, producers and "experts" pundits etc are hired hit people by lobbyists firms - it's all one big cozy family - i think it's time the Feds and the Justice Department start looking into the connection between people like Matthews and Blitzer et al.
Gee, I wonder where Matthews was today? You think he might have been tied up in depositions with the DoJ on the Abramoff case?
hmm...

7. I agree. It's astounding the Republicans could scream "liberal media" |
|
and attack them viciously for bias for years and then manage to exert such iron fisted control over it. What have the Dems to lose by fighting back?

6. So how does their argument refute "Democrats did not receive |
|
money from Jack Abramoff"?
Wouldn't they have to admit that it isn't just who you recieve the money from, but also what happens to money after it is recieved by one of the players (i.e. "laundering")? Talking about that could implicate more of their own.
So what WAS their rebuttal?
