... FEMA dumps water
... And FEMA, which seems to create emergencies rather than help in their relief efforts, has dumped over 1 million cans of leftover drinking water because the water was not used at Texas and Louisiana hurricane shelters.

FEMA transported water,18 truckloads of it, to a scrap metal business in the Dallas area last month where the water was drained into the sewer and the cans sent for recycling.

2. And how many people could have been saved if they'd had that water?
Truly sickening.

3. That is absurd
why couldn't it be stored indefinitely? I know its a lot of water, but really, couldn't it be distributed around? Its not like there won't be a need for it at some point. Water seems like a smart thing to have on hand to me, but what do I know? *sigh*

5. A food bank would have taken it
Some kids use water for sports activities, yeah, even poor kids. Just unbelievable.
