Bill Clinton met returning troops at airport
Edited on Tue Jan-10-06 06:59 AM by MaineDem
It was just on the local tv news so I don't have a link yet but the big Dog's plane had mechanical trouble so they had to land at Bangor (Maine) International Airport. This is the first stop for most returning military flights, as well. While Clinton was there he met the soldiers as they got off the planes. It looked great!

I'm bummed he was in Maine and we didn't know it but it was totally unscheduled so I understand.

A real President welcoming the troops home! What a great sight!

3. You mean Bush never greets returning troops?!?!Even the live ones?
That British general calling for Blair's impeachment said the the impact of this unjustified war will be worse than Vietnam. How will Bush handle being out in the world after he leaves office, and for the rest of his miserable life, when he can't hide behind dozens of secret servicemen and women or relegate Americans to protest zones out of his sight or hearing.

5. Great story
Something I like about this is that Clinton, unlike Bush, did not need a photo-op to meet the troops. Do you think Bush would ever meet returning troops without having cameras arounds?

I wonder if the media will point out that some of the soldiers wanted Clinton's autographs. It seems that many in the media try to claim that everyone in the military hates Clinton.

7. I am not dog's biggest fan

But there is a photo of him meeting returning flag drapped coffins of US soldiers. It was very clear the sincerity of Clinton's feelings toward them.

Of course, the reich will say it was all a photo prop. OK, if props of Presidens with dead soldiers is so easy to concoct, why the fook hasn't Shrub done one yet?

Not easy to say "Lets Roll" to a dead guys family. I hate bush more and more every day I wake up.
