Bush doesn't care about blue collar people...smoking gun evidence.
Edited on Tue Jan-10-06 01:39 PM by gulliver
I thought this should have a thread of its own. Look at this quote by "a Republican close to the President's inner circle" from the recent CNN story on Bush being no big buddy of Tom DeLay's.

Of the former exterminator, a Republican close to the President's inner circle says, "They have always seen him as beneath them, more blue collar. He's seen as a useful servant, not someone you would want to vacation with."

I think we always knew how Bush felt about blue collar people. The main thing Bush's "inner circle" seems to dislike about DeLay is that he is "blue collar." :grr:

1. He cares about them: he despises them.
He cares that they aren't near him, don't vacation with him, or even look at him when he's on parade.

Oh, he cares.

7. he is a hillbilly ... all his mommy's money, all his poppy's money, all of
the mommy and poppy polishing schools they sent him off to were not able to teach mommy's son one iota of culture, nor were they able to polish to boy off. he is a hillbilly with money--but ignorant as most hillbillies, who, are, by the way, able to learn when exposed to culture and education. mommy's son is also illmannered more than many hillbillies who again are able to learn when exposed to etiquette and education.

9. It always gets me that all these "Salt of the Earth" types voted for a
spoiled rich kid. If they only knew the truth and not the character created by GOP PR firms.

16. It always gets me that so many of them voted for him because
he is a Christian (or claims to be). I have yet to see him actually display any Christian traits.

5. That's beside the point. This is smoking gun evidence ...
... that Bush's inner circle actually has contempt for blue collar people. Find a Dem inner circle you can say that about and maybe you would have a point. You won't though. This is cotillion Republicans caught showing contempt for working people.

6. Sure he cares. He cares that they get in debt and pay high rates. He cares
that they lose their pensions because it cuts into profits. he cares that those using drugs get put into prison. He cares that those too poor to survive enlist in the military to fight people over there, so he won't have to hire them over here.

he cares.

10. I missed that before, HOLY S T...imagine if it was Clinton, Gore or Kerry
whose aides said that. The media would be talking about it for weeks, and we'd have dozens of polls with leading questions set up against them.

Always the outsider.
