How can Alito be considered if he can't be TRUSTED to tell the truth?
I know my question seems generic, however, how can he be TRUSTED to uphold the RULE OF LAW if he doesn't always tell the truth? It's a no-brainer for me.

How does everyone else view this?

Peace.

1. Yes! And how can he strictly interpret The Constitution if he can't
answer a simple questions clearly and honesty. Maybe it's the CONstitution to him.

4. I've been wondering the same thing...
like when he promised to recuse himself and didn't. And when he said one thing, then later said he only made the statement because it was a job interview. Aren't these confirmation hearings a job interview? How can we trust him to tell the truth this time? I don't.

5. I don't either. He isn't a nominee. He's a tool.

7. Ditto what you all said.
He may be the smartest guy on the planet, but he has lied in the past and dances around questions like a well-trained seal. Since those are qualities Republicans admire, I suppose he'll be confirmed. Another nail in the coffin of a great democracy.

9. His convenient memory lapses are glaringly dishonest
I am dismayed to think that he will likely be confirmed by our elected representatives who are well aware that he is lying and weaseling out of acknowledging his most embarrassing and unethical lapses in judgment.
