Former Ney chief of staff Neil Volz has resigned from his law firm. Writes a reader: "He'll either plead or be indicted by the end of the week. Probably the former. When he does, the jig is up for Ney."

1. Can't happen to a more deserving couple of guys. Ney is still out there
screaming 'I've been framed' though. Doesn't he have a family member who cares about him enough to tell him to shut up and quit embarrassing everyone?

3. nice find...TPM has a bit more info
~snip~
In a development that could bode very ill for Rep. Bob Ney (R-Ohio), Neil Volz - "Staffer B" in Abramoff's plea - has resigned from Barnes & Thornburg, where he was a lobbyist. There was no explanation given for his resignation - not even to spend more time with his family, nothing.
Volz went on to work for Abramoff in 2002 after leaving Ney's staff, and the plea alleges that he violated the one year lobbying ban by turning around and courting Ney too soon. Volz was Ney's chief of staff when the bulk of the bribery activity went on. Like I said: not good news for Ney.

"Staffer B" Volz joins "Staffer A" Tony Rudy, formerly of Alexander Strategy Group (R.I.P.) in unemployment.

Roll Call reports that some lobbyists from Alexander Strategy Group (ASG) are trying to start up a new firm and are finding life after ASG difficult. To publicity sensitive clients, they're radioactive.
