How about a Hillary/Oprah ticket
Is it time for the USA to have a woman in Command, especially in a "time of unending war". I also think the only way a Black person will ever gain the Presidency is by being a woman. Condi is despised by more than half of america but Oprah is Universally admired. What manly man would run as Hillary's sidekick? Maybe Leiberman but who else?

3. That would really set the suburban housewives/soccer moms/security moms/
suv moms (or whatever the hell they call themselves this month) on their ears. They HATE Hillary because their husbands tell them to, but they worship Oprah like the Beatles.

7. How about Feinstein and
Ellen? Or how about Susan Sarandon and Jerry Springer? No wait! How about Madonna and Obama? No! Forget that! How about Cindy Sheehan and Rev. Al Sharpton?

Anyone else have any "winning" combinations? I think all of the above are slam dunks, don't you?

:eyes: :sarcasm:

10. DEMS in the Senate or House need to stay THERE.
And no matter how brilliant she is, Senator Clinton is just plain annoying for too many people to get elected to the Oval Office. She is a great thinker and strategist. She does not come across as the sort most would enjoy spending the afternoon chatting with. Sadly, in America, the latter is more important in national elections.

Truth hurts, maybe, but we better deal with it anyway.

12. Hello from part of the universe that doesn't admire Oprah...put that
ticket out there, and I'm buying a ticket out of here. Oprah is high on her own ego...good deeds aside.

13. Let's NOT and say we did...
How about an Edwards / Obama ticket instead?

or Kerry / Edwards ?

or Gore / Edwards?

or Gore / Obama?

Those are tickets that could actually win.

Hillary/Oprah will be a worse disaster than Mondale/Ferraro...

14. One half of each pairing you put up there, I could get behind...but
not one pair would be desirable to me. That said, it proves how "big tent" we really are. :hi:

17. Good idea, wrong order OPRAH - Hillary
Edited on Fri Jan-13-06 11:39 PM by autorank
Oprah has a long track record of success. Nobody gave Oprah anything. I saw her on her show in Baltimore years ago when I was visiting, Baltimore. That's a tough town go leave once your there...ask Poe.

She moved her way up with her own intelligence and obviously with good advice from smart people.

Remember when the TX cattlemen tried to take her on. She took her show to the TX town, wowed everybody, and they knew they'd lose. She's that damn good.

OPRAH-HILLARY
