DU this Freeped Amazon Book Review!
Edited on Wed Jan-11-06 10:02 AM by MsMagnificent
Book:
Women Who Make the World Worse : and How Their Radical Feminist Assault Is Ruining Our Schools, Families, Military, and Sports written by Kate O'Beirne

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1595230092/qid=1136988205/sr=8-1/ref=pd_bbs_1/104-5229696-1857552?n=507846&s=books&v=glance

All the Amazon reviews regarding this book are a joke. If they're blindly ass-kissing, the approval is inflatedly bloated and if negative they stand little chance of being 'Helpful'.

A sizable majority, about 62 percent (16 of 26), of "reviewers" praise --really praise this book, and they have the most often and highest rated reviews.

These lickspittle reviews have very obviously been Freeped:
--of the 16 sycophants, definitely 9 and probably 13 are men (Alfabob sounds like he has some real issues by his screen name alone. Wonder when he's bringing his 'old-fashioned', subservient, Russian bride home? Poor thing -- the soon-to-be-abused bride, not Bob)
--of the 16 servile, slavering "reviewers" Eight --HALF-- had only submitted ONE review! Yes of course, for this book. Another reviewer has submitted a mere 5 total reviews of all books, and all have been written since Nov. 24, 2005. (He's from Devon, PA! Guess poor lil Tim is disappointed by being vastly outvoted by the rest of his town. *snicker*) Another 2 have a mere 16 and 18 reviews in toto, with many Conservative tomes among them reviewed.
This all knocks out a full 11 of the 16 positive reviews as pure spin and propaganda. That brings the (possible, but improbable -- some of the other 5 I'm sure are from Freeperville) 'real' positive reviewers down to 5 of a (corrected) total of 15 reviews: 33 percent positive. (LOL Sorry for all the stats, guess I'm feeling a bit actuarial this morning : )
--of one review, 303 out of 353 found a biased, bootlicking review 'helpful' !

Aaahhhh yes, this has the von of Freeper-stink all over it.
Fresh FreepeReek, on top of it.

I exhort you all to visit this page and if you agree with my data, vote on the reviews yourselves... seems past time to call in OUR calvary

CLARIFICATION:

An important feature of the customer reviews are the votes on if the review itself was Helpful to the reader of the Amazon page in terms of making a decision to BUY the book or not.

I never meant to imply to write a review without reading the actual book... that would be ridiculous and basically useless as an honest review -- and the reviews should at least be Honest.
While I have little compunction against fighting some fires with corresponding fire, i.e. using some similar tactics that Freepers and their ilk use; there are limits, and falling down to the the very low level than seemingly most RepubliCONS operate at does not behoove us. Indeed it truly brings us to their substrata... and that is WAY too low to go.

My suggestion is merely to vote if the review is truly helpful to you in evaluating whether to purchase said book while still being honest -- if you happen to agree with the sentiments, then by all means vote your conscience.

Of course, if you HAVE read the book, another, legitimate review would be welcome and helpful to some; I am sure. :)

1. I haven't read the book.
And don't decide whether to read a book based on reviews. Won't be voting.

:hi:

5. Well...
...you don't HAVE to read the book, really.
An important feature of the customer reviews are the votes on if the review itself was Helpful to the reader in terms of making a decision to BUY the book or not, but I see you realize that.

I never meant to imply to write a review without reading the actual book... that would be ridiculous and basically useless as an honest review -- and the reviews should at least be Honest.

No pressure to try to convince you -- I just wanted to clarify my post. :)
Take care!

2. There is nothing that conservatives love more
than members of an oppressed group who come out and spout out the talking points embraced by white conservative men.

They love women who speak out against feminism, blacks who speak out against black activists and causes, hispanics that speak out against immigration (legal and illegal), and "former homosexuals" (aka: closeted homosexuals) who speak out against the "gay agenda".

Member of a minority, looking to strike it rich? Sell your soul to the conservative movement!

4. Unless I have read the book I don't like to vote
and I don't reccomend that you or the freeps do unless you have read it as well.

7. Reviews can help you decide whether or not to buy the book.
If the review was written by a foaming-at-the-mouth Right Wing Sexist, it's certainly NOT helpful.

I wouldn't WRITE a review without reading the book. Not that the Right Wingers are that honest.
