Why I oppose alito to sit on the supreme court. Its really quite simple
I took an oath -

"I DO SOLEMNLY SWEAR THAT I WILL SUPPORT AND DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES AGAINST ALL ENEMIES FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC."

Its also the reason I never vote for republicans (regardless of the office.)

He's a retired Master Chief I think, and that oath is taken by EVERY individual who signs up for military service.

5. And since Alito thinks bush's excursion into spying is OK, he should
be out.

6. Really?
Now, Bush I can see, but all Republicans? Let's not burn our bridges. Sometimes you need some friends on the other side of the aisle to pass legislation, etc...

7. Really
How many Republicans can you count that don't follow the party line? that makes them all complicit in this Admin and all it's actions.

Why haven't you heard from any Republicans about the NSA, why aren't they on Fox news calling for investigations on this and all the other crimes by this admin over the past five years?

Burn bridges indeed, what legislation are you talking about? Medicare, the budget, the energy bill perhaps. I can go on and on, they really don't need are want the Dem's help and the Dem's that voted yes on some of the past legislation with the Republicans will probably loose their seats come 2006 and that's fine with me.
