Strat for lobbying congress to oppose Alito |
|
I'm going to write my congressmen today again. This time my letter is going to be to paraphrase
With the rapid loss of credibility of the Bush administration and the scandals that plague congress, will the confirmation of Alito only further erode the publics support of Congress and the president. One can only assume the stream of incompitence and leaks will continue referring to the White House and Alito is another one of these incompitent choices.
Congress must decide not to support Alito or risk further their careers in office. Alito's hedging on many important issues in hearings indicate a lack of truthfullness, and congress must, for the good of their constituencies and the country as a whole reject Alito. We must have a judge who is open to answering questions truthfully in congress. Especially on issues of executive priveledge we must know how the nominee stands.
For these reasons and more congress must reject Samuel Alito.
What do you think any other ideas?

1. Schumer wasting time beating a dead horse |
|
He's a bright man, why waste time with this trivia?
Why not something that will make a difference? We are losing this debate.

Advanced Interrogation Techniques like waterboarding. Or maybe we should make Alito stand in his underwear and dance will answering questions.
