Alito seems to be a real yes-man for the oligopoly.
I haven't participated in any of the Alito threads. I've been sitting back, listening to the hearings. The overwhelming impression I get from this guy is that he'll find any legal justification, no matter how tangential or spurious, to say yes to the powerful and no to the powerless.

I think if he ends up on the Supreme Court, we're going to be riding the 5-4 bus to an even greater concentration of power in the hands of a few very powerful people. Our society is in danger of tipping over from the polarization of power and wealth already. I can just see 50 years down the road, if we're upside-down and sinking, looking back to today and thinking, hmm, that Alito confirmation was not an inconsequential part of the mess we're in.

1. Yup.
He probably will eek in there.. We just need to make sure we have a DEMOCRATIC president in 2 more years !!! (And hopefully a Democratic senate too.. may take a while longer for the House? Who knows? )

But until 2008, unless it's Thomas or Scalia.... no more illnesses, retirements or other untimely exits!!!!

Please?
