These are Our Times.
Are they not?

This phrase keeps going through my head.

These are our times.

I feel like I'm waiting for somthing. Is it all a myth that we are waiting for?

Anyone else feeling this?

1. Life's a bitch than ya die
About as simple as it gets for me :)

Everything in between is either fun, sex and booze, or politics and crap.....

ya should be ok :)

Somehow I am reminded of bad santa and I can see some rethug girl with a guy in a bush mask 'fuck me bush fuck me bush' - which might make for a nice cartoon where the girl has a shirt on that says 'I voted for bush and I all got was a dick'

4. It IS all a myth we are waiting for....
We are waiting for the myth to actualize.

I definately have that feeling and I talk to people about it. Alot of people think I'm pretty loony in this regard. I think most people ignore everthing that is happening outside their own personal experience. Which is to say people ignore almost everything and so fail to really see the trends occuring, the mystical unexplainable coincidences. I think by feeling and noticing trends and forces you can see where things are going (not in detail) and react accordingly.

Also in part the events of this age are so horrific that most people just want to be left alone and ignore it.

Myth is also reality.

Maybe I am crazy.....lol

5. "These are our times." I think I know what this means now.
It means that whether we like it or not, this is IT.

WE have to do SOMETHING with our time in history.

What's it gonna be?

These are our times.

7. Sheesh, you think everyone's been complacent?
I'm satisfied with my contribution to the future, but I'm not personally responsible for everything.

We now have this wonderful tool - you think it was this easy to be a progressive on the 'net in the 80's when I began?

Follow current events ... phone, email & participate when prompted ... you'll be part of the solution.

If that's not enough, look around your community. The adage, "Think global, act local" still applies.

10. Of course not- I'd like to think most at DU are active.
I'm NOT satisfied with my contribution to the future.

I guess that is my point.

12. I was raised to wait for a messiah
I realized eventually I wouldn't want one - yes, this is *it* and I accept what has gotten us to this point.

Looking around, I see what needs to be done and I get busy. Each of us will have to take an individual path but the point is to get started ... that's the solution to existentialist angst.
