As expected they came out guns ablazing at Sen.Kennedy for daring to question God's own President's second nominee for that Supreme Court slot.

This is nothing new. Ted must be really thick skinned about it and at this point is probably over the vile, nasty, and extremely personal attacks towards him. A weaker man would have wilted a long time ago.

"Hillary" (more than even Bill) "Michael Moore" and "the ACLU" have usurped "Ted Kennedy" and "Barbara Streisand" in terms of the RNC ATM machine of fund raising but all of them are sure to get the phones ringing. We have own touchstones to you know.

Ignore all of them. Relish in it if you will. Oh and the DNC doesn't mind the attention either ;-)

1. I LOVE Ted Kennedy & I tell it to every repug I know - drives 'em nuts.

I know Ted Kennedy (as a mbr of his party) a helluva lot better than any of them, and nothing will ever dissuade me from my admiration of him, no matter what crap they throw around about Uncle Ted.

I love driving them nuts over it, I will never budge.

2. Either the nominee LIED when applying for job earlier, or records scrubbed

Either way, Ted has hit a BIG nerve and our job is to cover his back against the spin by pointing out CONSTANTLY that since Alito claimed to have been a member of CAP duing an earlier process, he either lied then or is lying now OR he 'can't remember joining the group' because his handlers told him to say that while they scrubbed the files. That way, he only mangles the truth instead of lying outright.

If the CAP files don't show Alito's name as a member, then he lied in the Reagan years to advance his career. Is that the sort of person we need on the SCOTUS bench? THAT needs to be on all our lips whenever anyone mentions Ted for the next week.
