>>Why bother to pretend that Nora O'Donnell is a journalist? "Are you going to demand that Democrats apologize for making Mrs. Alito cry?" Huh? And I loved that one the other day about the Abramoff scandal being as much a Democratic scandal as a Republican one. To quote Dr. Evil, "Riiiggghhhtt."
I guess the fact that Nora caters to the GOP isn't 'news' to you guys. You know who owns you. Does it feel good, though? Is this why you got into journalism? To help corporate politics spin their message? It is embarrassing. Or if it isn't, it should be. But hey, you just take those paychecks and screw being unbiased. It isn't your fault, right? Everybody is under the same thumb, right? You gotta do what you gotta do, right?

How dare she imply that Democrats apologize for making Mrs. Alito cry!! The democrats did not make her cry, she made herself cry. If Mrs. Alito can't handle that tough questions are going to be asked of her husband during a time when this country is so bitterly divided politically, than Mrs. Alito should stay home. I was personally appalled by her little breakdown yesterday. Her little breakdown was seen all over the world, and I find it embarrassing.
I expect an apology from Ms. O'Donnell for implying that Dems made her cry. Maybe Ms. O'Donnell is working at the wrong cable news station?

36. my letter to the network |
|
here it is:
Although I expect very little in the way of actual journalism from your network these days, I'm still shocked when someone who is at least pretending to play one on tv shows such blatant partisanship as Ms. O'Donnell did today in asking Orin Hatch if the DEMOCRATS should apologize for making the Supreme Court nominee's wife cry. First of all, what kind of a question is that? Could she be more of an RNC tool? Secondly, it was a Republican that helped turn on the waterworks. And that Republican, Lindsay Graham, certainly didn't seem to have any concern for the families of politicians when he was part of an eight-year campaign of terror against Bill Clinton. Should Mrs. Clinton have cried publicly? Would that have persuaded them to call off the dogs? Thirdly, if Alito's wife can't handle the heat, she shouldn't go with him on job interviews. Fourthly, aren't the Dems fulfilling their Constitutional responsibility by questioning him. Fifthly, the crocodile tears she shed don't compare to the genuine pain this immoral and corrupt administration has caused. Wives and mothers all over this country cry genuine tears because their children were killed in an unjust war, or they can't feed them, or provide safe shelter, or give them the health care they need, or perhaps because their homes were washed away in a flood and Bush can't be bothered to interrupt his vacation to send help. THOSE are the tears that the Republicans, not the Democrats, should be apologizing for. And YOU, as a network, owe viewers an apology for having a blatant Republican partisan masquerading as a real journalist. It is disgusting.

It was purely phony and I don't feel sorry for her and the democrats shouldn't apologize. What about with Hillary and Cheslea Clinton? Teresa Heinz Kerry? Tipper Gore? Elizabeth Edwards? Tough shit!
