Thanks Ralph
Flame me. But well, maybe there was a little difference.

We do not have the numbers to win this one. We will try but loose. Alito is in.

Go GREEN!

6. Is Nader really to blame?
Blaming Nader for Gore's "loss" is so superficial and doesn't address the root cause. First, it was the DLC Dems who sold out the poor and working class through agreements like N.A.F.T.A. and programs like the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996. I can't fault people who were harmed under Clinton's policies if they took their vote to the Greens. It is a fact that the Dems (under the DLC's watch) left these people first.

Second, there is quite a bit of evidence to suggest that the people who voted for Nader were 1st time voters or people who don't regularly vote in elections. To think that Gore would have energized these people to come out and vote for him is wishful thinking.

Finally, by all truthful counts, Gore won the election. However, he and the Dems didn't fight for what was rightfully theres. Instead the just sat passively by and let the Repukes steal it away from them telling us we should be "united" by the slanted and biased SCOTUS decision.

7. I still blame Ralph Nader for Bush's election...
I'm really fed up with the Dems right now, and if they don't filibuster I will change parties. If Ralph Nader was not associated with the Greens, I would join. As it stands now, though, I'll have to become an Independent.

8. David Cobb was the Green nominee in 2004...
Nader ran as an independent.

Nader broke from the Green Party due to a philosophical difference with David Cobb on what strategy the Green's should pursue. Cobb was very concerned about Greens voting in swing states and urged people to vote their conscience.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Cobb

Cobb stated his intention to run a campaign focused on building the Green Party and to pursue a "strategic states" or "smart states" strategy that would take into account the wishes of Greens in each state, and which otherwise would focus on states that traditionally are "safely" won by the Democratic candidate, or "safely" won by the Republican candidate, with a large margin of victory. Such so-called "safe states" are also referred to in campaign literature as "neglected states" because the Democratic and Republican candidates traditionally put most of their campaign energy into more competitive "swing states." Cobb's campaign said that, in each state, the campaign would aim to follow the wishes expressed by Greens in that state. While some of Cobb's erstwhile supporters urged swing state residents to vote for Democrat John Kerry in order to stop the re-election of President George W. Bush, other Cobb supporters encouraged votes for Cobb and LaMarche in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. The candidates themselves used the phrase "vote your conscience," campaigning both in swing states such as Wisconsin and safe states such as California.
