1. He'd do better in the Senate.
Throw off their 'holier than thou' attitudes :)

2. I wish he'd stay on the radio and write more books.
But if the Senate is really what he wants (especially since he wants to run as a tribute to his friend Paul Wellstone), so be it.

5. I agree
I really think he's genuine if he were to run. If decided, he would run in '08 right?

3. I think he'd be better in the Senate
he's not that good on the radio, and he probably would call people on their lies on the floor of tne senate. (or on TV when a guest on a political talk show)

10. Senate!
Fabulous. Mr Smith goes to Washington. And he could be up first, middle and last for fillibusters. I'd be glued to the set.

12. I know this-his new book is the funniest thing I have read in years
I will do a thread on it later but suffice it to say that it has three times as many jokes/funny lines as a David Sedaris book or piece. Nothing new in the facts department not really anyway (did the Schindlers give Michael Schiavo their blessing to start dating again?-one thing I was not aware of that is in the book) but GOD OH MIGHTY is it funny.

My wife asked me, "Why are you ready with a smile on your face?" Yeah it is that funny.

13. Minnesota...
..and the nation would be lucky to have him.

I've found from listening to him and reading his books that he has a sincere interest in the well being of the United States and the knowledge of issues that a Senator should possess.

14. senate. Then he could do Paul Simon imitations as some sort of ode
maybe even wear bowties. ANd he could probably provide some skewering comments on the floor debates.

16. Yes, Run Al, Run!
If only so I can hear him saying "oy, oy, oy" from the Senate floor in response to some wingnut's legislation.
