mrs. alito's tears yesterday were a stroke of genius.
my hat's off to karl rove, ed gillespie, and all those other rat bastards who'll spend eternity in hell.

mrs. alito's crying is the image that everyone led with last night and this morning. just as abu-graib was the moment we lost the war in iraq, her crying was the moment the democrats lost everything.

3. I totally agree.
Just posted the same thought on a thread elsewhere. The assholes are masters of marketing psychology & there is no tool in the battle of perception that they are unwilling to use.

4. I strongly disagree!!!
We've lost nothing... I just joined Democracy for America and they'll teach you how to win! I have JUST begun to fight... I've made over 20 phone calls today all across our country to tell people about this org. We're taking our country and freedom back from these goose-stepping Nazis! http://www.democracyforamerica.com/

5. Agreed. This was better than a sound bite.
The crying left open all sorts of interpretations. And even though it was during a REPUGs time, the majority of Americans will interpret it as a reaction to so-called "unfair" criticism by the DEMs.

6. It was well planned.
It was just too well coordinated to be an actual reaction.

7. I'm just wondering if anyone nearby was watching closely
enough to see her do that little squirt of glycerine into the corners of her eyes.

Nobody can cry on cue like that unless they've had years of training. Or unless they're psychopaths.

13. She missed her cue--she cried when KENNDEY was doing the questioning.
Fortunately the MSM was there to provide backup by claiming it was ALL the Democrats' fault when it should have been that of one Republican.

16. This will backfire
just like their Mission Accomplished stunt, when people find out that it was a staged event coached by none other then Lindsey Graham, the same Repug who set off her tears.

Watch the video again and listen to what Graham is saying while Mrs Alito breaksdown. It is bizarre.

21. I think it will backfire too....
People are also getting sick of the Republicans playing the "emotional manipulation" card, as they did with the Schaivo fiasco. Many will be simply annoyed at this woman's lack of composure, particularly professional women. Personally, the whole thing made me want to slap somebody. People are dying every day in Iraq, and we're supposed to get worked up over this sob sister?

17. This was not a stroke of genius
This was an exercise of power. They control the hearing, Congress, AND the media. Under those circumstances, I could create any damned perception I wanted.

We have ignored the media issue now for too long. They are not as big as the government and they are the gateway by which EVERYTHING has happened. Massive protest....storming their studios, chanting so loud that the studio can't do a proper broadcast......jesus, anything but continuing to sit there and let them do it each and every goddamned time.

It is ALWAYS the media....name your issue.
