The Alito Show.
So...it was really all just a show, right?
Did anybody think it was actually something else?
A real excerise of your government in action?
Filibuster?
Get real.
It's a goddam game and a goddam business to all of them.
OK, not ALL, but most.

It was just another pony and dog show.
Some entertainment for the masses.
OK, not the masses.
The few who watched CNN and maybe even switched over to C-Span when CNN cut to something like a bank robbery or hostage situation.
Maybe a few thousand?
Maybe.

Why did they even bother?
Did they get some good sound bytes for the folks back home?
Screw the repugs and screw the dems.
A pox on both their houses.

The best part of the show was when it looked, for a minute, like Kennedy and Specter were about to duke it out.
Turns out just to have been a little spat and it was all smiles the next morning.
Gee, I love these guys.
