the time is NOW to stand up and fight for what we believe in - FILIBUSTER
These have been six long years in terms of politics , fellow posters. And it's clear to me, as it is to many people that Alito is a right wing extremist. His place in the Supreme Court would change this country for many many years. The Democratic Senators have NO CHOICE but to filibuster Alito.

*there is no alternative*. This is one of those fights that you DO NOT retreat from. There is no "do over" or "go get em next time".

FILIBUSTER.

Live it, love it, learn it.

5. And if the GOP smashes the filibuster for a straight vote...
Then we use their technique to appoint the mostl liberal judges we can find when Warner or Edwards win in 2008. It's that simple.

Alito may get in either way, but lets NOT BEND OVER AND TAKE IT.

3. No kidding! Don't replace Filibuster with a Fret-abuster
It's not enough to express concern. It's their job to investigate and then make a choice. If they don't take some sort of stand (which doesn't have to be a filibuster, but should be something at least noticeable), then they basically vote to consent through inaction.

This is just want they wanted. Not only is the voting Republicans stupid they just believe if Alito gets in they can overturn abortion its a lot more than that and they still don't get it. When will they ever learn that Republicans stand for big business anyway they screw the little guy they will do it. I just don't get it they these guys don't have a pot to piss in and they keep standing by these guys.

8. Unfortunately we have no representation in the Senate. They are
all part of the same Kabuki play. How else can you explain all the missed opportunities to nail this bastard to the wall? The dems are part of the problem.
