Isn't The Question "Will He Be Confirmed?"
If that IS the question, then as I see it right now, YES he WILL be confirmed.

I'm not voting. Done deal! If they were asking "should" he be confirmed then I would vote NO!!!!!

3. The question is WILL he be confirmed, not SHOULD he be.
I, too, FEAR he WILL be confirmed, even though he SHOULDN'T be.

12. Gotcha... And You Are Correct!
Better hang on to the quarters too!!

Actually I save every penny I get, I mean every PENNY! I check the dates on ALL my change and put them in different categories. Anything older than 30 years goes one place... all the others I keep.

About every two months I roll the nickles, dimes & quarters, but the pennies are still here!

I'm waiting for them to outlaw pennies and then I'll have THOUSANDS!!! Yeah, I know... don't hold my breath!

4. Not 'should'....'would'.
The question is WILL Alito be confirmed. Not SHOULD Alito be confirmed.

I think, sadly, he probably will be confirmed. But I don't think he should be. (I voted 'no' on the poll)

6. online polls can be manipulated
If you know what you are doing it is very easy for one person to create several thousand votes for one side or the other on these online polls.

2. This isn't worth a thread.
It is an example of how fucked up the media is though. Here is the question.

Will Samuel Alito be confirmed to the Supreme Court?

Yes No I don't know

13. That's a trick poll. If you do vote, vote 'no'.
They will not clarify that many people voted because they believe he will win, even though he should not.

This is how they will report it:

'In an MSNBC poll, 57% of responders believe that Judge Alito WILL be confirmed'. This is the result they want. Those listening will think that is a vote of support for Alito.

These people play with language and words. I do not consider it dishonest to vote no, when I know I am being fooled into giving them the words they need to push support for someone I do not support.

What can we expect from MSNBC? Propaganda arm of the Bush regime ~
