Write your Senators! Alito is not suitable and should not be confirmed

Both of my senators are Democrats so I sent them this brief email message...

Having paid attention to the hearings on Alito and giving him a chance, I believe he is an inappropriate selection for the supreme court. He does not appear to represent the views of most Americans. I could understand if President Bush had popular support, but he is the most unpopular president in modern times. If a democratic president nominated a candidate as far to the left has Alito is to the right, republicans would filibuster for sure. Voting against the nomination is not enough if he is going to get in anyway. I am letting you know that I encourage you to filibuster (or support someone else doing so) the nomination if it looks like he will be confirmed.
