Anyone know what happened to the Al Gore 08 web site?

1. I did some research on this site a while ago...traced the location

to a location very close to where Gore lives in the Nashville area. It seemed that it was run by people who had some connections to Gore.

Maybe with is spending more time San Francisco, this indicates that he really means it that he won't be running. Much of the info posted on the site seemed to hold out a chance...inc. one piece about the Gore Family Picnic that was held...with a real "hint" that things were going to happen. But that was at the beginning of the summer...

3. I just joined their message board yesterday. There was still a fair bit

of optimism by many posters there that he would run. I hope so too, but I am not as confident.

Maybe they took it down to replace it with an official campaign site?

I mean.. I don't think he wants to go through it again, but what do I know?
