1. The CIA killed at least 17 other people with the missile.
If that missile had killed and injured no one, perhaps this shouldn't be a big story, but it did kill and injure people.

Also, the CIA seems to have acted without the permission of the Pakistani government.

6. The following is buried in the middle of the article:
The incident came days after Pakistan, an important ally in the U.S.-led war on terrorism, lodged a strong protest with U.S.-led forces in Afghanistan, saying cross-border firing in the Waziristan tribal area last weekend killed eight people.

President Pervez Musharraf, addressing officials in the town of Swabi to the north of Islamabad, made only a passing reference to the attack in Bajaur, saying it was being investigated.

People from Damadola said no foreigners, only local people, were present and killed in Friday's attack.

"I know all the 18 people killed. There was neither Zawahri nor any other Arab among them. Rather they were all poor people of the area," Haroon Rashid, the area's National Assembly representative, was quoted by the Afghan Islamic Press news agency as saying.

...but it basically begins and ends with Reuters' "Where's Waldo" fascination with the fact that #2 got away again. So yes, the story of the attack most certainly is news, but the degree of attention to "he wasn't there"...to me, anyway...is extremely questionable.

2. Should read
"We Didn't Kill Him...Again"

He's in some cave laughing his ass off, while several Pakistani families are mourning their dead.

8. I want al-Zawahiri and UBL and Mullah Omar to be killed or captured.
Lots of people hate the US, but they're more willing to commit mass murder.

10. How do you know these names are anything but fictional charachters?
it's like saying I want Texas Chainsaw Massacre Killer dead.

It's like saying, I want Dracula dead.

It's like saying please kill the bogeyman! I don't care how! Use Nook u lur bombs on every village in India, Pakistan, South West China, Afghanistan and every other Stan - just kill that bogeyman!

of course, if anyone was able to prove to you that the only bonafide killers in this story, and who need to be removed, are the ones occupying the white house, what would you say then?

11. I'm not saying I want them killed in any way whatsoever.
Regarding the CIA air strike, I don't approve.

I want soldiers or police on the ground who can investigate whether Zawahiri is really there and try to kill or capture only him if he's the only terrorist there.

I don't want bomb/missiles from the sky dropped on innocent civilians based on a tip that Zawahiri is in the area.

Regarding the idea that all these man are fictional, I don't believe they are fictional. The outgoing Clinton Administration tried to warn the incoming Bush Administration about terrorism, but the Bush people weren't interested.
