THE WORLD CAN'T WAIT
snip. It will take an organized movement of millions to drive out the Bush regime. Join this movement in demanding "Bush step down" in protests all across the country during Bush's state of the union address. Chapters below are organizing protests that evening (Jan. 31), and transportation to Washington DC the following Saturday (Feb. 4) for a mass protest taking our demand to the White House. This is great! I can't believe I haven't seen this, or I surly would have signed before now. Link http://worldcantwait.net/index.php?option=com_contact&catid=13&Itemid=16

2. In the SF Bay Area, there will be a gathering in Union Sq to take down an
effigy of Bushie on the night of the speech. I say this so folks everywhere will either join us or create some creative protest in your communities.

I recommended this post also, and it is zooming up quickly. Let's give this top billing!

--- I went to a Pelosi townhall today, and she said we have to wait until elections to change things... well, we can't wait, we will not wait, and she better make up her mind to join us!

3. Your right!
A movement like this, and all of its notable supporters, if we don't join in, there well may not be another chance! Peace

Change things...because until the election we don't have the numbers to change things.

Pelosi had better make up her mind to join you...

'Um she knows what she's doing, she's a sensible person and she's going to wait until the election like she told you.

On Edit: Different word.

7. J, we need to get to get people mobilized, and that begins among us,
not waiting for "leaders".

People have mobilized and deposed of corrupt tyrants before...

The world cannot wait until 2008.

8. Right, because our elections are so free and fair, right?
Yeah, let's see...Gore won in 2000, but Bush got inaugurated. Kerry won in 2004, but...er...Bush got inaugurated.

Do you not recognize yet that our democracy is a sham? Or do really have so little faith in the American people that you believe they did this on purpose?

9. To share a little personal lesson
Some time ago, when I was younger, friends and I used to hang out in a section of woods just to get away from it all, many others would walk those trails as well, one of my favorite spots was on a hill overlooking a small lake, and there were mounds, some called indian mounds, on that hill, It was just a so peaceful place as I remember still.
One day a group of three passed us up on that hill, not uncommon, each acknowledging each other and on their way they went.
And in a little while we noticed smoke coming from the woods, down the trail where the group that just passed, Immediately we went searching and found a fire had been started, I became frantic and can still recall this feeling today.
With nothing to extinguish this blaze, I picked up a stick and started to beat the flames down, recklessly at first but found method, it was as if my heart was being burned, as my two companions stood back and just watched, thinking me nuts, but you know what, I put it out.
And again another fire down the trail, picking up a stick and beating it down, feeling tired now, and ny friends just standing there watching me as before, than calling out " theres another one" saddened, and defeated, I gave up. I'll never forget that day, I couldn't stop the fire, part of me wasn't only lost, but I gave up on my self, for lack of energy, If only my friends would have helped, I think the three of us would be stronger today.
Well I share my lesson with you all, take from it what you may. Peace

11. Damn, Tulsa OK has a chapter;
But Columbus OH is left behind again. We're the capital and yet the ACLU doesn't have a chapter here. For both you need to go to Cleveland, a 3 hour drive. That may not seem like much, unless you're on a fixed income and take a lot of meds.
