Loss of innocent life lamentable, but unavoidable: McCain
Sun Jan 15, 11:04 PM ET

WASHINGTON (AFP) - A senior US senator lamented the loss of innocent life during a US bombing raid in Pakistan, but said such casualties are unavoidable as Washington robustly pursues its "war on terror."

snip...

"This war on terror has no boundaries," McCain, a Vietnam War veteran and leading congressional voice on defense matters, continued.

"We have to go where these people are, and we have to take them out. And the fact that maybe we didn't take them out years ago when we should have is a cautionary tale," he told CBS.

Watch out world! The U.S. plans to bomb any country where suspected terrorists may be. Where next? Germany? France? Spain? Saudi Arabia?

Ridiculous apology for a stupid policy.

edited to add "on terror" to title.

3. Madness.
Hey, It's ok. For a good cause and stuff. I know you miss your wife, but she didn't need her upper-torso anyway. I'm sure you'll understand the manifestly benign nature of our policies in your area someday, and lose all the misguided indignation directed at us.

The cycle continues.

5. I was stunned by his comments. How heartless can the republicans be?
I wonder what McCain's response would've been if Pakistan dropped one of those on Texas? Then responded with sorry but we think you are harboring GWBush - he's a terrorist in our country.

Oh he wasn't there? 20 people died? Ah well - maybe we'll get him next time. STFU you crybabies, this is a global war on terror.

we would've anihilated them and anyone else who looked like them.

How can we sit back as a nation and allow our leaders to go around like McCain arrogantly dismissing our barbaric hypocrisy? It's shameful.

7. You have it nailed down solid.
I think we all know what would happen if another country(s) started doing to us, U.S., what we, U.S., are doing to other countries.
The grit from the explosions would still be going up when we retaliated.
The United States is the worlds #1 Terrorist Nation.
