My LTTE to the NYTimes re: Gore's speech

"Where is Al Gore's speech?
I went online this morning, anticipating seeing a decent story on Al Gore's fine speech yesterday and found absolutely nothing on the front page, or in the list of lesser stories or anywhere without using the search engine. There I found a lame wire story with a little about the speech and a lot from the administration. The Times apparently couldn't even be bothered to send its own reporter. So much for all the news that's fit to print. Even fish would be insulted to be wrapped in this paper. You couldn't even be bothered to include with the wire story that Gonzales was being deceptive; that when Clinton was conducting warrantless searches, they were legal and after the law was changed, he followed the law. The response you made room for from the RNC was disgusting, as usual.
Do you not have any children to whom you hope to bequeath a flourishing democracy? Do you go home to some other planet every night so that you needn't care about this one? If you are not going to stand up for the truth, why are you even in existence? Currying favor from this lawless administration couldn't possibly be worth the loss of your integrity or the loss of our democracy. That is what's at stake, in case you've been sleeping through the last few years.
