If you have done nothing wrong then you have nothing to fear |
|
It sounds good but there are many vindictive people that may tell the FBI that you are doing illegal activities and believe it involves Al Qaeda. That gives the FBI the right to arrest you and lock you up for the rest of your life without charges in direct violation of the US Constitution. Remember how horrible those filthy Liberals are so don't put it past them to spread false information about you and you won't even be allowed an attorney. Do you like that scenerio? Don't think it can't happen to you. If you allow a single person to do away with the rights granted all Americans by the Constitution then you may just regret your decisions. All it takes is suspicion. If a couple of people report you as a suspicious person and a terrorist threat you could vanish....You can then whine all you want about having done nothing wrong but who will be there to listen?

3. Just because you haven't stolen anything doesn't mean that |
|
you have to allow someone to search your house to prove you don't have it. Just because you're not speeding doesn't mean that you enjoy having a police car following you. Just because you've done nothing wrong you don't have to submit to invasion of privacy.
I find it hard to believe that the people who are defending Bush's use of illegal spying would allow him unfettered access to their telephone conversations, e-mails and other confidential information. Just because you have nothing to hide doesn't mean that you want all aspects of your life exposed.

4. I know what web sites you browse. |
|
I have your credit card numbers, and what products you buy with them. I listened in when you called your doctors' office last week. I know what kind of birth control that you use. I know where you go to work, and what your boss and co-workers say about you. I know that you do not practice a main-stream religion. I know what cable channels you watch. I know where your kids are right now. I read all your e-mail and text messages. I know what your ex said about you in that divorce case. I know you contribute to liberal causes. I know that you have had two speeding tickets and one failure to yield citation in the last five years. I know that you are sympathetic to foreigners that the government accidentally killed. I know what kind of alcohol you buy at the grocery store. I know that you think the government is spying on you.
You may be right. But you have nothing to fear. Not from me. I just listen and read. Others will make the decision if you are a threat to democracy..... or not. And there is nothing you can do about it.

5. if that's true, bush and republicans should demand a special prosecutor |
|
if bush has done nothing wrong by wiretapping Americans, he should have nothing to fear with a thorough, independent investigation ...
