1. Only the guilty need fear! The innocent are blameless!
Toss their usual line of BS back at them.

6. This is a prime example of intelligent strategy. There is no
"comeback" for this one. This needs to be kicked and kicked until it's in the minds of most Americans. In the end, logic and logic only determines all outcomes. We as individuals often miss this because we are so small compared to the "big" picture. It's like staring at the side of an elephant from a distance of 1 inch. Can't even tell what it is.

4. Sorry, but it's like saying
if you have done nothing wrong you should not worry about the NSA spying on you. You have nothing to hide, right?

I hate the bastard, but let's be consistent. After all, there GOOD REASONS to investigate the asshole.

:kick:

8. Sorry, I have to disagree
many years ago when I was running for public office, my opponent called down an FBI investigation on a program I had run which used federal funds....the investigation took over three months and every aspect of my personal life was gone over with a fine-toothed comb by the FBI.

As a result, in a debate with my opponent, I was able to say that "I am the only candidate who has had his integrity certified by the FBI....my opponent cannot say the same."

There is anotehr difference. When there is a cloud of suspicion above you (and you're innocent) the only way to get rid of it is to OPEN to the investigation, cooperate and go the extra mile. Bush can't do that because he fails the threshold (e.g. He's guilty as hell and he's even admitted it.)

9. Junior, I know that your heart is in the right place. But, I must
respectfully disagree with your disagreement. It's not at all like saying "If you've done nothing wrong, you have nothing to fear" and here's why.

The idea that you have nothing to fear from the government is based on the premise that those doing the eavesdropping are good, honest people. If they were, there wouldn't be too much wrong with it. But, people must operate on the assumption that corruption could happen and therefore, set up barriers against.

But, Bush has lordly proclaimed his innocence of criminal wrongdoing. By so doing, he has invited congress to verify his innocence. We should follow up on this.

5. My thoughts exactly
where's the Cowboy Bravado?

Where's the steely-eyed, fearless leader?

What's that?

Why's everybody laughing? :sarcasm:

16. Well, to a logical person that makes sense. Let us take a minute
and realize who we are dealing with here. These guys have told so many lies that they have no idea what is true and what isn't anymore.

Have they ever told the truth about anything?? I cannot think of one instance where this administration has stood up and told the truth. Whenever I hear our fearless leader speak, I just automatically assume that he is lying.

That is very sad.

14. I remember the repukes use to make this argument
about Clinton and the independent council. In fact, many repukes are trying to make the argument now that if you've done nothing wrong, you shouldn't fear the government invading your privacy. Yes there should be a special counsel, but this is not a compelling argument to have one.
