Scott McClellan reveals Repulblican strategy to win in 06' and 08'.
Edited on Tue Jan-17-06 07:20 PM by Clarkie1
"If he (Gore) is going to be the voice of the Democratic Party on national security matters, we welcome it," said Scott McClellan. "We look forward to the discussion."

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/10896665/

It's doesn't matter much who the "she" or the "he" is...fill in the blank with your favorite candidate.

This is going to be their strategy: NATIONAL SECURITY.

06' is going to be all about Iran, and possibly 08' as well...count on it.

How do we best counter the perception that Republicans are "stronger" on national security. Discuss...

6. Hmmmm....
Edited on Tue Jan-17-06 07:27 PM by Clarkie1
Everything this administration says, especially coming from spokespeople is very deliberatate and calculated.

They aren't desperate. They believe they can win in 06' on national security alone by keeping it the #1 issue and are laying the groundwork for it with statements such as these. This is bigger than Gore or Gore's recent statements.

What we should be pondering is what kind of monkey wrench can we through into that assumption...keep discussing.

Edited on Tue Jan-17-06 07:30 PM by Clarkie1
of their incompetence and the superiority of the Democratic Party on issues of national security, but it isn't. It didn't work in 04' and it won't work in 06' or 08'. Good start though...thanks for joining the discussion.

20. It didn't work in 04' because no Democrats ever said it.
Which Democrat ever said "9-11 happened on Bush's watch"???

It would have been a KO reponse to Cheney's "If you elect Kerry, we will be attacked."

will be left quivering in a corner in the fetal position. McClellan conveniently ignores the many converging GOP shit-storms on the horizon.

very important to get out the info then on exactly who and when gave weapons to Iran. I know halliburton was one of the companies. there are other stories around I can't remember. show their hypocrisy right off the bat.

14. If the 'Pukes are such friends of the military, how come most veterans
today are running for Congress under the DEMOCRATIC ticket?

At last count, the website www.bandofbrothers2006.org had at least 41, count 'em, FORTY-ONE military veterans throwing their hats in the ring. In the Democratic camp.

In contrast, how many veterans are running for Congress under the 'Pukes? One? Two?

:kick::kick::kick:

BTW, tune into Air America Radio tonight at 9 pm (EST). They are featuring another "Fighting Dem",
Tammy Duckworth, running for Congress in Illinois' 6th Congressional District.

15. Democrats our strong in national security
it is this administration that has lied to the American people. We as Democrats need to talk about the issues that affect the American Joe. Health-care education jobs energy costs this how we can win in 2006 and 2008. The proof is in the pudding this administration is for corporate interest not for me and you. We know that but we need to get out to the grass roots and shout it from the top of our lungs. Call them for what they our crooks and liars. All we need to do is stop fighting them and just call them out for what they are. Its easy do you want higher gas prices higher health cost jobs going overseas low education or no education than keep voting Republican.

17. We could use stats on Homeland Security
seems like they have been spending money like 1.5 million in Kentucky to provide wireless
surveillance from the farmers to the dairy so that someone could not sneak in and tamper
with the milk. (I read this in the Washington Post over Christmas)

18. One word: CUNNINGHAM!

Just point out that a lot of Republicans seem to think it's just a fine and dandy thing to do in wartime to steal money from the defense budget.

19. They really should be the
spokesmen & women for the Dems, 'cause all they're good at is posturing. They are great at advertising, but when it comes time to deliver they're just absolutely incapable. It's stunning that in 2000 we were deficit-free, what with the 'tax & spend' Dem in the wh. Now it's back to the nightmares & the deficit & what seems to be endless horror.
