17. I was a Catholic schoolgirl
and I turned out all right -- solid Dem liberal all my life. Do we have to get into Catholic, or other religion bashing, all the time here?

I'm going to send Sister Mary Michael after you. :spank:

He thinks he has the power to influence the direction of the country and he wants to help shape certain debates...He is a mole of sort.

9. Sadly, he is a caricature. Tim Russert is worse.
All of us here together could not pry his tongue out of Rush's something I am too embarrassed to talk about. He has had the chance - the rare chance, the miniscule chance - of actually challenging Rush Limbaugh, and did nothing but fawn over him. This generation's Father Coughlin, only far more influential, and he blew it. Screw Russert. Worst First.

I barely watch the guy, but he does seem to be becoming a bigger asshole by the day.

12. A fool's errand
Watching Tweety and expecting truth or real news(not RNC regurgitation) is a fool's errand. He is beyond redemption.
Tweety has the tick that bits all repukes, he will lie when the truth would serve him better.

13. THEN DON'T FUCKING WATCH HIM!!!!
Why do you people continue to give these bastards any sort of credit by watching their garbage? It amazes me how day after day after day after day after day after day after day you post about the lack of honest coverage, yet you continue to watch day after day after day after day after day after day after day after day.

Get it through your fucking heads. They don't give a shit about you or me or any of the democrats. If they appear to, it's usually extremely fleeting, so they can appear to be balanced.

JUST TURN THE DAMN CHANNEL AND DON'T WATCH SHOWS LIKE HARDBALL!! And if you do, please refrain from coming here to state the obvious, which is that they're biased towards the right. I KNOW THAT ALREADY!!!!!

19. it's kind of addictive, like potato chips
We know they're bad for us, but...

I'm a recovering Tweety watcher too. But I got really fed up during the '04 campaign. There was a particular day that did it for me. He had four, count them, four RW journalists/shills lined up at a table and started out the program by going down the line, each one trying to outdo the last in their ridicule of and outright lying about Kerry. If he is or ever was any kind of Democrat, he's totally sold out now to money and ratings.

Once in a while I drift back, but am usually sorry I did. It's not worth it to see someone you are interested in, if you have to endure the subtle propaganda coming out of the host's mouth.

16. He did win the Misinformer of the Year Award from Media Matters
I agree though, that there seems to be a subtle, malevolent change recently. He sure was happy to discuss Hillary's MLK speech, but I don't believe I've heard him mention Gore's Speech of the Century. The fact that he is not discussing the Gore speech proves to me that he has an agenda. So, I really don't need to watch him anymore as he has moved his tile over to the Bill O'Reilly Bin. That means that the only person I'm watching on MSNBC right now is KO

34. Question: Did Tweety mention that Newt said the same damn thing?
Other journalists had the integrity to pull up the Newt Gingrich quote talking about plantations. But Tweety kept trying to ascertain whether Hillary would pay for this. One guest added that gee wiz what would happen had a Republican said that. Well, one did. In the 1990s, but nobody mentioned it.

Tweety will delight in tanking a possible Hillary run. Now I realize there are Hillary haters here, but that sort of agenda should piss you off too.

Plus the beginning of Anderson Cooper's show sounded like a gossip-fest quacking about the comments Hillary and Nagin had made.

What a bunch of gossipy old women.

The less there is about this Misadministration to defend, the more wildly and stupidly they do. There's a headless chicken quality about them.
