Kerry Detractors need to know what you are seeing on CNN..might be
Edited on Tue Jan-17-06 07:42 PM by KoKo01
seeming to be...pro-Likkud.

I watched Blitzer's interview with him at 4:00 p.m. and CNN IS CHERRY PICKING!

I'm not a KERRY SUPPORTER! BUT...at the 4:00 p.m. (EST) report from CNN showed to ME that he gave an A+++ description of what KERRY BELIEVES...and I didn't have a problem...in the context of it, with what Kerry said.

As I say....I'm not a Kerry Lover...but his SUPPORT (Unconditionally) for GORE gave me "KISSIES TO KERRY!"

Even HILLARY......Kerry Supported HER,TOO!

I'm a way Lefty Dem...but on "Social Issues" a Socialist on other issues a CONSERVATIVE...but I loved the "Interplay" of the THREE WORKING TOGETHER!!! It was GREAT TO SEE!

And adding in SHARPTON..late on with Tweety...and it would appear the DEMS MESSAGE is ENCOURAGING!

Left to me "left" ...I'd say my vote would go to to GORE in '08...BUT...I'm so thrilled to see the Lieberman Wing (Hillary) join with the Kerry Wing (DLC) with the GORE WING (Undeterminded) to TAKE BACK THE WHITE HOUSE!!!

IT ALL was INSPIREING!!! ....DID ANY OF YOU DU'ERS "SEE IT?"

1. I'm totally inspired by them all, and Dean is chatting it up tomorrow!

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2006/1/15/161320/911

On Capitol Hill, Reid and Pelosi will detail legislation calling for a ban on Congress members' acceptance of trips from corporate lobbyists and for a clamp-down on lobbyist gifts, including meals and entertainment. In Ohio, Dean will deliver his address outside the office of Gov. Robert A. Taft, a Republican who is under fire for accepting golf outings and who is at the center of a scandal over $10 million in missing workers' compensation funds that had been invested in rare coins.

And there is a little more:

The Times got some excerpts of Dean's Wednesday speech: In his Columbus speech Wednesday, Dean plans to say that "the Abramoff scandal is the tip of the iceberg," according to excerpts from his address provided to The Times.

Dean will argue that the Abramoff scandal is a specifically Republican embarrassment, kicking back at GOP assertions that Democrats share culpability. He will catalog ethical questions facing Republicans including Rove and Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist of Tennessee, who is under scrutiny for possible insider stock trades.

"The Republican culture of corruption must come to an end," he plans to tell his audience, a theme to be echoed by Pelosi and Reed in Washington and by leading Democrats in Minnesota, Montana, Utah and other states.

:applause: :woohoo:

2. yeah i saw it... ... i'm not quite there, but i didn't want to get into
a bashing fest. partly because this once i felt i'd leave him off the hook, and i'm more outraged by the way Wolfy tried to do the Mousetrap game with Kerry on Hillary's statement.
Wolfy has a way of playing gotcha, cherry picking, along with distortions.

I'm no HRC fan, but i'm in complete agreement with Hillary's comments especially the Plantation remarks, and that Wolfy these pigs are distorting, censoring and frankly acting like a bunch of racist reactionaries! "she's playing the race card" - what a bunch of crap!

All these fucking white men on tv (i know wolfy is jewish but he's still a white guy) getting all bent out of shape because someone SAID SOMETHING THAT WAS FUCKING TRUE for a change.

White Supremacists assholes those freaks are and they don't even know it.

3. Kerry's one time membership in the DLC for the purpose of getting
the VP pick is irrelevant. He has proven over time that he is Liberal through and through. Show me where Kerry has been one of the major leaders in the DLC. He hasn't. he has been more in line with Boxer than anything.

7. He's still on the list. But From won't even mention him
when talking about 2008 hopefuls.

I sometimes wonder why he doesn't have himself taken off of their list. He's far too liberal for their tastes. He's somewhat hawkish on foreign policy. That's about the only similarity I see to the DLC. And even then I'm sure they're not pleased with his withdrawl plan. In fact I know they're not.

Yes, I'd say he and Boxer are very close to each other in their politics. She was one of his better defenders on the MSM during the campaign as well.

He certainly doesn't remind me of the uberhawks like Lieberman and to a somewhat lesser extent Hillary.

8. We aren't....but some of us "peek" just so we can "bitch and moan"
:D Tonight was a Must Watch...the rest is usually RW Crap.

Aren't you glad some of us just can't resist, though?

But, I've been a hair away from ripping out my Cable which I don't watch enough to justify my "Mid-Tier" costs for it.

I figure I need to "peek" every once in awhile....and it usually causes me to come onto DU ranting and raving about how BAD IT ALL IS...and to urge folks to TUNE IT OUT!

Tonight was our one in 6 Weeks "Liberal Fest." They will be back to their old ways tomorrow. It's always good as little as it lasts, though.

14. I noticed something Wolf did
I know it's all just to create a nice tease, but he said, "Kerry has some choice words to say about Hillary!" Then after the commercials, turns out that Kerry had only good things to say about her. That's what they do to us all the time--jerk us around.

I'm still glad he gave that much airtime to our Democrats. Thanks to Gore for stirring the media pot up good.

6. It was indeed spiffy
and I agree that Kerry's words are probably colored by the fact that he's not in America at the mo'

My only quibble with your post would be that I'd put Lieberman and Hillary in the DLC, Kerry somewhat to the left of that, and our former DLCer Gore... hmmm... was going to put him to the left of Kerry, but he's sort of a mixed baggie. I'll just call him a patriot.

Kudos to all three. Plus Dean. Plus "Give Em Hell" Harry.

11. I believe in a rating system for CD's and DVD's like Tipper Gore once
wanted way back for "music tapes."

That makes me a conservative on DU...:D

There are a few other issues but they are minor when our Country is at stake. I can fight for rating TV Entertainment after we win the House and Senate back.

10. Lieberman and Hillary are not.....
....as connected in policy as it might seem with cherry picked reports. They agree on some angles. But not on others.

But, I have a HUGE problem with Lieberman, and I am a moderate Clintonian Democrat. Lieberman, on Iraq especially, has become a Republican lap dog.

My problems with Hillary and Iraq are real too. But I was PISSED at ALL the Democrats that voted for this lie of a war. Hell, I could tell way out in Northeast Texas that the SOB was lying.....I know SURE AS HELL that THEY KNEW IT TOO. Most, like Hillary, were SCARED of being called UNPATRIOTIC...something they all deny, but its true. And now have trouble, in their own minds, at least coming up with some justification, so they so far, are just standing by that vote.

Lieberman, I believe, has a completely different agenda. I am NOT, by any stretch of the imagination, anti-semitic...but I DO believe that Lieberman, when it comes to the middle east, allows his religion to come before what is best for America in general.....but thats just me.

12. Most of us here would have big problems with Lieberman...I think..
Edited on Tue Jan-17-06 11:13 PM by KoKo01
DU'ers of all stripes. We thought the same about Zell Miller when he "turned." I don't think anyone I've seen here could consider Zell Miller still a Dem.

Lieberman has annoyed everyone, also. With many of us it goes back to what he did to Gore during the recount for 2000. He hasn't made himself "warm and cozy" to Dems,by supporting everything Bush wants to do since he was "Selected," either.
