Al Gore Story Disappeared from Google News
I read Google News, which for those of you who have never used it lists all the top stories w/ links to all the major news stories written on the topic.

http://news.google.com

Yesterday when I checked Google and the Topic "Al Gore challenges NSA wiretaps" had about 600 linked newstories. I read alot of them.

Today I check Google News and there is NO topic about Al Gore's speech and no mention of the NSA except regarding the recently filed lawsuits. I know alot of news organizations wrote stories today regarding the speech and the NSA but Google is no longer listing them.

I always thought the Google News was a great resource that was unaffiliated just a place you could go to take the pulse of the news media.

I think a list needs to be compiled and circulated listing all media sources refusing to cover the Al Gore Speech and the NSA wiretapping. How is this not the TOP Story???? Number #1 Story on Google "Euthanasia" and "Cheney meeting regarding Iran"

Below is a link to a poll in which it states Sixty-eight percent (68%) of Americans say they are following the NSA story somewhat or very closely.

How can the media outlets turn their backs on that figure and refuse to do stories. How can we follow stories not being written?

3. Not the same thing at all
The stories listed under the search feature do not include all the stories listed yesterday. And my point was that Google News is no longer listing the Gore/NSA issue in the "Top Stories". Normally it takes days for a topic to move off the Top Stories listing and that is after the media is no longer covering it.

2. By the way that poll is from Dec 26-27 way before the Al Gore
speech so I am sure the new poll would show public interest as much much higher.

The poll also words the NSA question as:

Should the National Security Agency be allowed to intercept telephone conversations between terrorism suspects in other countries and people living in the United States?

How could you answer that any other way than yes. It is so blantantly biased in its wording. How about:

Should the National Security Agency be allowed to intercept all communication methods invloving the Middle East & U.S. citizens without a suspicion of terrorism?
