GOP Reform Plan has Holes

The Republicans put up their plan today for “broad new restrictions” on lobbying. They may think their proposal is broad, but what can we expect from the culture of corruption gang, except a loosely woven sham fronted by a few shills representing the Republican leadership in the House and the Senate.

The DNC responded with a press release calling the plan a Sham…

Democratic National Committee Communications Director Karen Finney. “How can we trust that their efforts at reform are anything more than a sham? After five years, the Republican leadership has done nothing, and now, with their backs against the wall, their only answer is to throw together a last-minute, incomplete plan. Putting Rick Santorum and David Dreier in charge of ethics reform is like having Dracula guard the blood bank.

An analysis in tomorrow’s WaPo shows that there’s plenty of loopholes in the Sham Plan…
