Greg Parke proudly running on "The Swiftboat Platform"
I received the following B.S. from Newsmax.

Dear NewsMax Readers:

Below is a message from our sponsor, Friends of Greg Parke, the Republican candidate running against Bernie Sanders. They have some important information to share with you..

Thank you.

NewsMax.com

John O'Neill
Swift Boat Veteran of Vietnam
As you know, I helped start the 'Swift Boat Veterans for Truth' during the 2004 election for one reason...

...I believed the American people should know the truth about John Kerry.

There was no way I was going sit idly by as John Kerry tried to become our "Commander-in-Chief," while concealing his actual record.

Today I agreed to assist Lt Col Greg Parke, USAF (Retired) in his mission to prevent socialist candidate Bernie Sanders from entering the U.S. Senate.

Links, propoganda and pleas for money intentionally left out.

1. and again, Bernie is NOT John Kerry.
Bernie has no intentions of sitting around doing nothing while the right smears him.
Bernie Sanders will show us the way!

2. Amusing on so many different levels
I don't know where to begin. No one, and I mean no one, in VT takes Parke seriously. He's run and and been smacked down several times. He won't be the repub candidate. That honor will go to Rich Tarrant, probably the wealthiest man in the state, and he doesn't stand a chance either. Asshole O'Neill's an utter fool to get involved like this.

makes John O'neill such a voice for truth, justice and the American way? I suspect there is a pile of skeletons in this phony's closet.

4. John O'Neill should be ashamed of himself.
Turning on a shipmate like that. He should bow his head in shame. I sure wouldn't want that lying, two-faced, coward on my ship. He would probably turn and run when the going gets rough and leave his shipmates to deal with the fires or other problems on board. You would have to watch your back ever second to make sure this jealous sailor didn't push you overboard.

5. O'Neill has pretty well demonstrated that he's incapable of shame,
probably pathologically.

8. He was NEVER a shipmate - in fact he arrived months after
Kerry returned to the US. In 1971, on Cavett, O'Neil ignored Kerry's attampts to explain that the mission had changed a few months after Kerry left. The mission when Kerry was there was far more dangerous and completely counter productive. It lasted only about 4 months (before someone obviously stopped it - Kerry was one who complained but not the only one) during the 4 months of this according to Going Up River 90% of the people were wounded or killed. (What an irony it would be if Kerry and others complaining internally ended that mission, giving O'Neil a less dangerous one.)

7. I'm pretty sure that email is an FEC violation
Edited on Wed Jan-18-06 05:07 PM by RazzleDazzle
I'm pretty sure that Corporations are NOT supposed to get involved in actively promoting a candidate. They can do so through a PAC, but not directly.

Someone ought to bring this to the attention of the FEC, methinks.

Edited to add that newspapers can obviously make endorsements, but that's a little different than campaigning for a candidate.

9. Pig dicksucking O'Neill
needs a sweaty 12 year olds loin cloth tight around his throat and stuffed up his nose. Any loaf of pigshit that lies that much and acts so self-righteous to boot needs something.
