DSCC launches "Santorum K-Street Project" ad. Tell me what you think?

The Fox is Guarding the Henhouse

The now infamous “K Street Project” is the Republican scheme to completely take over Washington by forcing lobbyists to hire Republican friends and cronies in return for special access to lawmakers. The Project is led by Sen. Rick Santorum, one of the DSCC’s leading Republican targets in the 2006 elections.

Incredibly, Republicans in Washington have now put Santorum – the man who helped to create the scandals – in charge of ethics “reform.” It’s like letting the fox guard the henhouse.

Earlier this week, Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid joined with leading Democrats across the country to introduce our Honest Leadership & Open Government Act. This legislation proposes an agenda of tough, real reforms that go beyond the public relations fixes pushed by Republicans.

According to Sen. Reid, “Having Republicans trying to clean up the mess in Washington would be like asking John Gotti to clean up organized crime.”

You can join committed Democrats from across the country in endorsing this common sense reform agenda by signing the Honest Leadership Pledge. Our goal is to have one million Americans join us in this commitment to honest government.

1. Love the theme. I'd like to see some flames coming out of the
cauldron. I'm not so good at this stuff so manybe that would be too difficult.

Maybe a few drips falling from his stiring spoon????

But I love the idea of linking him to witchcraft and evil! His iffy supporters will just LOVE that!

2. It's Ok, but...
I'd have used the old Willie Horton ad and replaced Horton with Abramoff, DeLay, Cunningham, etc. going around and around the revolving doorway. The door could be from Congress to K Street and back. I think this ad just doesn't do enough to drive home the point of the wide spread corruption under the Republicans.

4. Lobby reform
The Re-pub's, put Santorum in charge of their fix it program. And the Dem's put Sen. Barack Obama in charge of their plan. it's obvious who wants honest government, smart move by the Dem's!

5. Kind of clumsy
There's got to be a better graphic that would get the message across.
