Osama Bin Laden Threat = Next Phase
In expanding the war. Call me cynical, but somehow I get the feeling that this is nothing more than bullshit from the powers that be to further expand the bullshit war on terror. Wonder what the real target is?

2. I think they're are playing us like fools...
Osama wants nothing more that an expansion of the Iraqi occupation. He has learned how to manipulate the faux macho of the Bush administration. If he wants something, all he has to do is demand the opposite.

6. Target Strike Successful
Direct strike (hit) in the very top center (head) of the target objective (nail).

"Patriot" Act... where "patriot" is defined as: showing absolute deference and obedience to the will and wisdom of George W. Bush (Junior) by giving up all rights and claims to due process, promising your unquestioning support and trust in your new master. The "Patriot Act" should be renamed to something like The "First Step to Facist Dictatorship Act" ("Facist Act" for short) or "Strip Americans of Freedoms Act" ("Stripped Freedom Act")(or... "Freedom Loss Act", "Lost Freedoms Act", "Freedom Removal Act", "Citizen Control Act", "Opression Act", "Oppressive Act", "Legalized Oppression Act", "Un-American Act", "End of Rights Act", "Civil Rights Termination Act", "Rights Revocation Act"). It's amazing how people so quickly give up cherished(?) rights and freedoms willingly to their "trusted" government because they're afraid--afraid because of the exaggerated climate of fear their very own government created. Then again, a great many citizens don't even realize (a) what their government is trying to take away, or (b) that it's very important, and (c) that their government simply can't be trusted.

GWB: Gimmee that ol' time 'mnipotence, gimmee that ol' time 'mnipotence. (O-mnipotence, not impotence). After all, a Dicktatorship is so much easier, so long as I'm the Dicktator...

LRRH: But Grandma Georgina, what Big Ears you have? GWB(in a frock and shower cap): All the better to hear everything you say My Dear... LRRH: But Grandma Georgina, what Big Teeth you have? GWB(sweat dripping from his fangs): All the better to Eat you with My Dear... once I've stripped you--of your civil rights!

4. Here's what I think it means.
I don't think for a moment Osama wants any kind of truce, or phasing back or his and AQ's efforts. If he's intent on attacking again in the US, then that's what he will do. But by appearing to offer some degree of compromise - one he knows Bush will reject - he can say "but I tried, and THEY rejected my efforts."

This is not new. This is standard operating procedure for Osama, who is, shall we recall, a real son of a bitch who deserves to die, most painfully.

Bush and Osama are both driven by the delusion that they're doing God's work, and of course, that's not who is talking to them. It's their own nutty thoughts rattling around in their own heads that drive them to think they can kill people and advance their agendas.

Bush is our domestic opponent, but that does not lessen the very serious threat of Osama and his insanity. The fact that each of them has some good points in their goals does not change the evil of how they attempt to accomplish it.

8. This threat is so much bullshit
Edited on Thu Jan-19-06 05:17 PM by Popol Vuh
Talk about being FALSE on it FACE. Do the little wingnuts in this country really believe that someone planning attacks upon a nation like ours will alert us of it first? That's like the government of Japan telling us, before Pearl Harbor, that they were going to attack us. Utterly ridiculous.

That point alone makes this bullshit threat, in my opinion, false on its face.
