Black screen. The words "Here he goes again..." fade in.Announcer: "Here he goes again. Another tape from Osama bin Laden...
Video and still montage of Osama bin Laden begins.Announcer: We must never forget the lessons of 9/11. On that day, Osama bin Laden's Al Qaeda terrorist organization launched an attack on the United States that took nearly 3,000 lives. Al Qaeda had declared war on the United States. Osama bin Laden had brought that war to our shores. The president said he would get bin Laden "dead or alive." Question: So why is bin Laden still alive? Why is he still free, masterminding and bragging about plans to commit terrorist attacks in our country?
Fade to the http://www.debates.org/pages/trans2004d.html">third Bush/Kerry presidential debate in 2004.KERRY: Yes. When the president had an opportunity to capture or kill Osama bin Laden, he took his focus off of them, outsourced the job to Afghan warlords, and Osama bin Laden escaped.
Six months after he said Osama bin Laden must be caught dead or alive, this president was asked, "Where is Osama bin Laden? " He said, "I don't know. I don't really think about him very much. I'm not that concerned. "
We need a president who stays deadly focused on the real war on terror.
SCHIEFFER: Mr. President?
BUSH: Gosh, I just don't think I ever said I'm not worried about Osama bin Laden. It's kind of one of those exaggerations.
Freeze on the stupid smile Bush had on his puss when he said "exaggerations." Blow it up to a close-up. Silence for a beat.Bush (on tape): "So I don't know where he is. You know, I just don't spend that much time on him."
Then silence for a beat. Picture of Bush with stupid smile fades.
