Cheney lies about the Patriot Act

Cheney speaking in New York today said the evil Democrats had gleefully killed the Patriot Act and that "we" managed to save it by getting a short extension that expires soon. Does anyone remember who it was who opposed ANY extension unless they got exactly what they wanted?

Four years ago, Congress overwhelmingly passed the Patriot Act, to give
law enforcement the tools they need to track down terrorists inside the United
States. Lately the Patriot Act has become a victim of partisan politics. It
was filibustered in the Senate last month, and Democratic Senator Harry Reid
boasted that he and his colleagues had "killed the Patriot Act." We managed to
get a brief extension passed, but the law is still set to expire early next
month. I believe the security of the United States needs to be above politics.
Congress needs to renew the Patriot Act.

I just hope Reich-Marshall Cheney isn't lying as usual... I've been waiting for that freedom killing act to die since they passed about 6 weeks after 9/11... If they hadn't passed that act I'd have stayed middle of the road and quiet and let um steal till their heart's content.

....ANY LAW in a Democracy that is named "PATRIOT" EVERYONE had better be VERY INQUIRING......cause it's a term used for reverse demonizing if you don't agree!!
