We should have a Bin Laden Tape editing contest! Once America hears how easy it is to edit a new Bin Laden tape, junk it up with a bunch of background noise, and then pass it to some shady Dubya "news" site...

They might not believe all 50 of them, but I bet they'd believe some of them.

We could make him say just about anything.

6. Thanks, Also, I just heard on NPR's Morning Addition that the 4 hours...

...that it took for the FBI or CIA or whoever, to say that this was "bin Ladens Voice on the tape" was rather amazing, considering that Private Sector "Experts" didn't think that was possible. One of these "experts" said "they" must have some sort of new machine or technology that nobody else knows about.

Also, a flood of "new bin Laden tapes" would force "them" to actually fully test and examine these tapes to see if they can find one that IS real.

Plus, it would probably spur the "private sector" audio forensic "experts" to jump in and start examining these bogus bin Laden tapes. Just like with the Dan Rather-60 Minutes 2/Bush National Guard memo, the RW might eventually figure out that these are phony too.

...actually said, (and he speaks in really long phases), so I don't think too many could work that one.

The Key is to get who ever it is to say, "Yes, it's bin Laden's voice..." (a very LOW bar).

Notice: Nobody ever reports anything except that it IS his voice. They never say that it's his un-edited voice, because they can't.

9. I don't think passing fake tapes to any site would be so good.

But I DO think that an open contest would be great, as a kind of protest - and yes, in order to show how easily they can be faked.
