Rove’s Conversation last week with CIA Director Porter Goss:

ROVE:
Damn, Porter, baby - we’re on the fuckin’ ropes here. The domestic surveillance issue is all over the news cycle, they’re saying Iraq is now a low-level civil war, Murtha’s such a pain in the ass with his daily criticism, no tellin’ WHAT that fucker Abramoff is going to spill on us, Hillary says we’re the worst administration in the history of the union - shit, we can’t get anything in sideways on the news cycle!

GOSS:
Karl - don’t get so upset. We’ve got plenty of possibilities out there. We’ve been demonizing Iran so much that the people will accept any bombing we want to do there and our numbers will be back in the stratosphere!

ROVE:
Yeah, but the Iran attack is going to need a lot more build-up before we do that. What can you give me NOW?

GOSS:
Well, we haven’t submitted a tape from Osama in about a year - why don’t we slip another OBL video to Al-Jazeera? We could make it pretty strong - like a definite threat to the Homeland.

ROVE:
Yeah, but Osama’s been dead for 2 years now. It wouldn’t be good if anybody discovered we’d been using a double for our OBL videos - that actor’s put on too much weight on the CIA payroll. And, we MUST keep OBL out there to keep the War On Terror on the front burner.

GOSS:
OK - how about we just use an audio tape this time? It won’t even matter if it sounds like the real thing - we’ll just put out a statement by the CIA that it’s authentic.

ROVE:
YEAH! That’s what I’m talkin’ about! Ooo, Ooo Ooo - can we have him offer us a deal that he won’t hit us if we leave Iraq? - like offer us a truce?

GOSS:
Brilliant!!!! That kills 2 birds with one stone - it keeps the people afraid of a terror attack AND makes it look like we’re defying him by continuing the occupation! It makes that sell-out Murtha look like he’s working for Osama! Karl, you fat bastard - you never cease to amaze me.
